Entrepreneur from Syria Yahya Kirdi assures that a consortium of Canadian and Middle Eastern investors should soon take over the club.

According to Kirdi, an agreement has already been reached with the current American team owners George Gillett and Tom Hicks, so only a few minor issues need to be resolved.

"We have agreed on all the key points: the price, the terms of repayment of the loan to the bank, financing for the construction of a new stadium. Negotiations are in the final stages," the entrepreneur said.

He added: "With additional funds for strengthening the team and a new stadium, Liverpool has a bright future in both the English championship and European cup competitions."

Liverpool's debt is around 300 million euros.
