Strategist Roy Hodgson admitted that he would like to see Juventus defender Christian Poulsen in his team.
The Danish player, who has not established himself in the Italian team, could replace Javier Mascherano in England, who does not hide his desire to leave.
"If we could buy Poulsen for a price that we consider reasonable, he would be a great purchase," Hodgson told the newspaper "Ekstra Bladet".
"I know Christian very well, I have been following his career from the very beginning."
