French national team coach Laurent Blanc announced the squad for a friendly match with Norway. It does not include any players who participated in the debacle of the World Cup in South Africa.
This decision was made due to a strike during the tournament - the players refused to train and made demands. However, in other international matches at least some of them will wear the national team jerseys again.
Out of the 22 players in the squad, 15 will be debutants. Among the more experienced players - unexpectedly omitted Hatem Ben Arfa, Karim Benzema, Lassana Diarra who missed the tournament due to illness, and Samir Nasri not selected by coach Raymond Domenech.
