The leaders of Munich blame the Dutch Football Federation for the injury of the team leader Arjen Robben, who dropped out of the lineup for two months, and demand compensation.
Speaking to the journalist of the newspaper "Abendzeitung," the chairman of the board of German champions, Karl-Heinz Rummenigge, insisted that the federation leaders are responsible for the fact that Robben played in the championship while injured.
Robben's calf muscle injury was diagnosed when the footballer returned from vacation last week. He played in the World Cup knowing about the problem, but only missed two first matches.
"Arjen should not have traveled to PAR with such an injury. And he should not have played," Rummenigge said.
Meanwhile, Dutch coach Bert van Marwijk rejected the accusations, stating: "If Robben had been injured, he would not have been able to repeatedly demonstrate his sprinting abilities during the final extension."
