The composition of the Italian national team for a friendly match against the Ivory Coast on Tuesday did not include Mario Balotelli, Antonio Cassano, and Amauri for various reasons.

For Balotelli and Amauri, it was their first call-up to the national team. The latter was born in Brazil and just received Italian citizenship half a year ago.

Meanwhile, Cassano last wore the national team jersey during the 2008 European Championship.
