Club's legionnaire from Spain Luis Garcia suffered a left foot injury and will not be able to play for about a month. The 26-year-old football player was injured for the second consecutive Champions League match minute.
"It is clearly a tendon injury, which will keep him out for three to four weeks," said the club's head coach Rafael Benitez. He also added that the loss of this player is a big blow to his team.
L.Garcia, who can play as both an attacking midfielder and a forward, joins the list of injured attacking players from the English club - Czech Milan Baros and Vladimir Smicer, as well as French Djibril Cisse. The club plans to address this issue in January when clubs can again buy new players. The latest candidate to arrive in England is the young Italian Andrea Caracciola.
