The strategist of the German national team, Joachim Low, hopes that his team will reach their peak in 2014.
"We have a solid core for the future," the specialist said to "Bild." "We will still have a lot to change, but I hope that we will reach our maximum potential at the 2014 World Cup in Brazil."
In this year's World Cup, the Germans unexpectedly secured a high third place, despite playing without several injured footballers, including captain Michael Ballack.
"Michael has always been important to the team," Low stated. "We have to wait and see how he will return to the field after his injury. It's great that we have options."
