Luis Fabiano can become a member of the club by the end of this week, announces the French newspaper "L'Equipe".
It is said that "Sevilla" should receive compensation of about 15-18 million euros for the Brazilian, while the player himself would receive an annual salary of 5 million euros.
"Fabiano is one of our targets - he would definitely strengthen the team," confirmed Marseille president Jean-Claude Dassier. "This is not a media-generated rumor."
In Marseille, Fabiano could replace Mamadou Niang, who does not hide his desire to move to Fenerbahce in Istanbul.
A member of the Brazilian national team, Fabiano previously expressed his desire to play in Sevilla for at least another year. Last season, he scored 15 goals in 23 matches in the Spanish championship.
