London failed to acquire striker Miralem Sulejmani. Although an agreement had been reached with Amsterdam's "Ajax" for a one-year loan, and the Serbian was ready to come to England, he was not given permission to work in the UK.
The striker, who has worn the jersey of a Serbian team sixteen times in the last two years, did not receive the automatically granted permission according to "Premier" league rules.
West Ham filed an appeal, but it was not granted.
Now the London team is looking for another striker. Among the candidates are mentioned the names of "Man City" player Felipe Caicedo and former "Middlesbrough" striker Jeremie Alliadiere.
