"Moscow has acquired one of the leaders of Glasgow Celtic team, Aiden McGeady, for 11.5 million euros. The 24-year-old Irishman has become the most expensive player to leave the Scottish Premier League.
"He wanted it to happen, so we couldn't stand in the way," said Celtic manager Neil Lennon. "It's a huge and right offer. Both Spartak and us are satisfied."
Currently, Spartak is only in 8th place in the Russian championship.
Last season, in the Scottish league, McGeady scored 7 goals in 35 matches."
