Arsene Wenger has signed a new contract with the London club and will lead them at least until the summer of 2014.
The current strategist's contract would have expired at the end of the upcoming season.
"My heart belongs to Arsenal," said the 60-year-old Frenchman. "I want to see this team winning trophies. I am dedicated and extremely eager to win."
Wenger became the coach of the London team in 1996 and won three English champion titles, four FA Cups, and also reached the final of the Champions League.
However, the last five seasons have been "dry" for Arsenal.
