This week the Eredivisie league of the Netherlands played their 2nd round matches.
The champions of the past two years, Alkmaar AZ, did not experience the joy of victory as they played a draw of 1-1 with Groningen, while the match between Twente and Heerenveen ended goalless.
The Eindhoven PSV club achieved a resounding victory in front of their own fans, humiliating league newcomers De Graafschap 6-0. The victorious team was led by Ola Toivonen who scored a hattrick.
In another match, Amsterdam Ajax defeated Vitesse 4-2.
