Madrivas strategist Jose Mourinho will have to do without several key players in the first Spanish championship match.
Most likely, midfielder Mahamadou Diarra will not be in the lineup, as well as defender Ezequiel Garay, who will be sidelined for up to four months due to injury.
Also missing will be Kaka, who is recovering from knee surgery, but defender Marcelo, who was injured in a friendly match against Bayern Munich, should be ready.
Real Madrid will start their Spanish league campaign on August 29 with an away match against Mallorca.
