President Jean Claude Dassier confirmed that the club will no longer try to acquire striker Luis Fabiano - "Sevilla" simply demands too high of a compensation.
The French champions have been interested in the Brazilian national team star for some time, but they were not willing to pay the requested 18 million euros for the footballer.
"The requested amount does not match market prices," said Dassier. "If it's not Fabiano, there will be another player. You can expect surprises."
It is said that now "Marseille" is eyeing Tottenham striker Roman Pavlyuchenko from London.
