After leaving the Argentinian national team after the World Cup, Diego Maradona would like to become the new coach of Birmingham, says a representative of the specialist in Europe.
The English team is looking for a new coach after Martin O'Neill stepped down from his duties.
"He is open to proposals and would be interested in such an opportunity," said representative Walter Soriano.
However, a close friend of Maradona told the news agency "Reuters" a different story: "It is not a question of whether Maradona would like to work with the English team. I am not saying it is impossible, but it is also not very likely."
"Diego is above everything else in Argentina, and the door to the national team has not yet closed completely."
