"Jerome Boateng will have to wait a little longer to make his debut - the German, who bizarrely suffered an injury, will not play for about a month.
Representing his country's national team, the defender tore his Achilles tendon, and on his way home he further complicated the injury by painfully colliding with a carriage carrying drinks on the plane.
"I imagined the beginning of my career in Manchester a little differently," said 22-year-old Boateng.
The defender was bought by "Man City" from "Hamburg" this summer for 12.5 million euros."
