Over the weekend, the third round of the Dutch "Eredivisie" league took place.
In the central match, Eindhoven's PSV club defeated Alkmaar's AZ team 3-1 in front of their own fans and became the sole leader of the championship.
Ajax from Amsterdam and Twente from Enschede achieved crushing victories by beating Roda from Kerkrade and Vitesse from Arnhem respectively.
