Madrid strategist Jose Mourinho admitted that in the football player market, the Spanish club cannot match the millions.
This summer, the English team spent well over 100 million euros on newcomers and surpassed all other teams.
"If they have the money and pay it, there's no need to make a big deal," Mourinho told Sky Sports. "But I understand that competing with Man City is incredibly difficult.
This club dominates the market. If they want a player, they buy him. I was interested in defender Aleksandar Kolarov, but had to give up because Man City offered much more than we could."
