The patience of the Catalan club has run out - on Friday evening they released an official statement expressing outrage at the arrogant behavior and controversial statements in the media by Zlatan Ibrahimovic's agent Mino Raiola.
According to the statement, the reckless actions of the footballer's agent and his statements about "Barcelona" head coach Josep Guardiola have affected his and Z. Ibrahimovic's relationship.
"The Executive Committee of the Board of Directors of 'Barcelona' publicly states that in recent days Mr. Mino Raiola's statements in the media do not meet any moral standards and undermine the honor and dignity of 'Barcelona' club and its coach Josep Guardiola.
The club publicly condemns such behavior of the agent. M. Raiola's actions have had a negative impact on the relationship between 'Barcelona' coach J. Guardiola and Z. Ibrahimovic, and have also fueled the player who has obligations to the club.
"Barcelona" is considering the possibility of terminating any relationship with Mr. M. Raiola and refusing to pay his office an annual fee as stipulated in the existing agreement with the club.
The club reserves the right to unilaterally make a decision, which will depend on the further situation, and to immediately start implementing it," the official "Barcelona" statement says, published on the website fcbarcelona.cat.
