Spanish champions' team was officially supplemented by the Argentine Javier Mascherano.
The football player arrived in Barcelona as early as Friday, but over the weekend and on Monday his health was examined by the Catalan team's medical staff.
"J. Mascherano's physical condition is ideal. He is already prepared to play football at full force," said Barcelona doctor Ricardo Pruna.
On Monday evening, the football player visited the headquarters of the Catalan team and signed a four-year contract with the club, valid until the summer of 2014.
Barcelona also set the Argentine's buyout clause at 90 million euros. That's the amount any team would have to pay if they wanted to acquire the player without negotiations.
That same evening at Camp Nou stadium, "Barca's" newcomer, who will wear shirt number 14 in the team, was introduced to the gathered journalists and fans.
J. Mascherano arrived at Barcelona from the team "Liverpool," for whom the Catalans paid 22 million euros for the player.
