To bring back the glorious days to Liverpool, the club needs new owners, says forward Fernando Torres.
Liverpool forward says he is disappointed with the American owners, Tom Hicks and George Gillett, who are running the team.
"It is necessary for new owners to come in so we can again compete for the top places," Torres said to "Cadena Cope" radio station. "We are not so far behind. Although last season we fell down, just a year ago we were only four points behind Man Utd."
"I hope a consortium will emerge that will help Liverpool financially compete with Chelsea and Man Utd.
