The newcomer of the club, Javier Mascherano, claims that they lied about his motives to leave the team.
The captain of the Argentine national team left England and moved to Spain before the summer transfer window closed.
Mascherano stated that "Liverpool" promised to sell him last year if they received a suitable offer, but they refused to do so until he took action and refused to play.
"When they involved my family in all this and started talking about unreal things, I suffered," Mascherano said. "For a whole year I had the promise of the club, but it was not fulfilled.
"And this has nothing to do with my family or anything else. It is natural to be angry when lies are being spread."
