In the team of Madrid, Dutch footballers brought the club a loss of 68.5 million euros.

Rafael van der Vaart, who moved to Tottenham in London, became the last player from the Netherlands to leave the team for a sum of 11 million euros. Also this summer, Royston Drenthe was loaned to Hercules, so the Dutch are no longer in Madrid.

Two seasons ago, there were even six representatives of the current world vice-champions in the ranks of Real - alongside the aforementioned two, Wesley Sneijder, Arjen Robben, Ruud van Nistelrooy, and Klaas-Jan Huntelaar played. Altogether, the total amount paid for them amounts to 127.5 million euros, not including solid salaries and bonuses.

With them leaving, the balance of the "Royal" club was supplemented with a much smaller amount - only 59 million euros.
