After a break of almost three years, Lee McCulloch will be in the starting lineup for the Scotland national team in the European Championship qualifying match against Lithuania.

The Scots have already announced their lineup for the match, which will kick off on Friday at 21:00 Lithuanian time.

Among the eleven is veteran 40-year-old defender David Weir. He will form a central defense tandem with Stephen McManus.

Alan Hutton from London's Tottenham will defend on the right flank, while Steven Whittaker will be on the left.

McCulloch, who last represented his country during the 2008 European Championship qualifying cycle, will play as a holding midfielder, while in the midfield the attacks will be orchestrated by team leaders Darren Fletcher and Scott Brown.

Surprisingly chosen on the wings are Barry Robson and Steven Naismith, who will support lone striker Kenny Miller.

James McFadden, who has a minor injury, is the only one on the bench.
