London newcomer Marouane Chamakh insists that the preparation for this season was the hardest of his life.
The Moroccan admitted that the training sessions of the team led by Arsene Wenger cost much more energy than at his former club "Bordeaux."
"The training is shorter, but much more intense," said Chamakh. "For three weeks we worked very hard. But I knew about it from other players - we need this preseason to endure until the end of the season, especially when there is no break in December."
Chamakh also said that the pace of the game in England is much faster than in France: "The matches are constantly going at 100 miles per hour. You always have to be ready, and the ball never seems to leave the boundaries of the field."
