Cambiasso: "Inter" doesn't play boring football © EuroFootball.com

Milan's security Esteban Cambiasso denies that the Italian team demonstrates boring style football.

Although the Argentinean acknowledged that the best teams in the world are the Spanish national team and "Barcelona," he claims that a club playing poorly last season would not have won three trophies.

"Everyone who plays football wants to compete in the same way as "Barcelona" or Spain, because these teams focus on ball control and create a spectacle for the viewers," Cambiasso told "Gazzetta dello Sport."

"But it's not true that in Italy, and especially in Inter, we just defend. You cannot win trophies by just standing in defense and waiting for the opponent's actions. We know when we need to defend and when to attack."

Cambiasso also did not criticize former Argentina national team coach Diego Maradona, who did not invite him to the World Cup.

"Of course, I was disappointed, but you will never hear me criticizing Maradona," he said. "It was the coach's choice, and now I'm happy that the new coach is inviting me to the national team."
