Nicolas Anelka confirmed that he has ended his career with the French national team.
The 31-year-old London Chelsea footballer insulted coach Raymond Domenech during the summer World Cup and was sent home. The country's football federation punished the striker with an 18-match ban for it.
"I officially ended my career. I am 100 percent sure that I will not return," Anelka told "France Soir." - "There was no hope of returning after what happened."
And he added: "And so every week I play wearing blue shirts in the Chelsea team."
