Madrid star Zinedine Zidane, speaking to Spanish journalists, stated that in his opinion, "Barcelona" will not demonstrate such a brilliant game throughout the season.
As an example, the best World Player of 2003 pointed to "Real's" performance in the previous season: "We started the season very well, but in the last two months our form dropped significantly. The same could happen to them."
It is worth noting that in the previous season, they were in first place until the 18th round, but then they faced a crisis and later, after losing six out of the last seven "La Liga" matches, for the first time in the last five years they did not win any medals, finishing in fourth place.
Ending his career in the French national team this summer, Zidane also added that "Barcelona", relying only on 13-14 players, will eventually stumble and "Real" will take advantage of it.
"I think this year we can finish strong, just like "Barca" did last year," said Zidane. "My intuition tells me that this year we will win trophies."
One of the senior "Real" players also stated that he does not believe that "the cycle of team victories with the current players has ended": "We are not playing as well as a few years ago, but we should not be written off yet.
