The head coach of the Welsh national team, John Toshack, has stepped down from his duties. The team, led by the 61-year-old specialist, started the European Championship qualifying tournament with a defeat in Montenegro. This is one of the reasons why the contract was terminated by mutual agreement. Former Fulham strategist Chris Coleman, who is currently unemployed, and former Wales defender Kenny Jackett, are considered favorites to replace Toshack. The candidacy of John Hartson, who ended his career a few years ago and has a UEFA coaching license, is also not ruled out.
