Clubs coached by Mourinho at home do not lose matches for more than 8 years © EuroFootball.com

On February 23, 2002, and on September 10, 2010 - these dates may not seem special at first glance. Nevertheless, an incredible record of the current Real Madrid coach Jose Mourinho has been ongoing since those days until now.

For more than eight years, J. Mourinho has not lost a single league match played at home, no matter which team he was coaching at the time.

It all began in the 2001/2002 season when the coach was at the helm of the Porto team. During one of the Portuguese tours, Porto played a draw at home against Alverca, and this match marks the beginning of this record.

In the following season, Porto lost only one championship match, in the 2003/2004 season they won all 17 matches. The following year, J. Mourinho took over the reins of Chelsea in London and in just over three seasons with this team, out of 60 league matches played at home, they won 43 matches, and 17 ended in draws.

In 2008, he took over Inter Milan. In two seasons in the Italian championship, out of 38 matches played at home, they won 29 victories, and 9 matches ended in draws.

This year, J. Mourinho took over Real Madrid. So far, this impressive record continues. The Madrid team will play a Spanish league match at home against Osasuna today. Will this record continue in the future?
