Strategist Sir Alex Ferguson says he is ready for criticism after a draw at home in the Champions League match against Glasgow Rangers.
The specialist from Scotland received mostly sharp words for changing as many as 10 players in the main lineup compared to the last matches in the English championship - only Darren Fletcher kept his place.
"Criticism will come asking why I didn't choose a stronger starting eleven," said Ferguson. "But they played against a very strong team. Eight of them competed in the Charity Shield. We have a great squad, so it wasn't a problem for me to play these players."
However, Ferguson admitted that it was worth including Dimitar Berbatov, who showed good athletic form, at least on the substitute bench.
"We wanted to see how Javier Hernandez would perform, so we didn't choose Berbatov, who is playing excellently," said the Scot. "We should have won the match, but we also have to praise our opponents - it was tough to break through the disciplined defense of Rangers."
