France drops down in the FIFA rankings, Lithuania rises up © EuroFootball.com

The crisis in French football is also reflected in the global FIFA ranking - Laurent Blanc's team has dropped to an unprecedented low of 27th place. Meanwhile, Lithuania is climbing up the ranking.

At the beginning of the year, 'Les Bleus' were in seventh place, but now they occupy the lowest position since the rankings were first compiled in 1993.

The current world champion and future opponent of the Lithuanians, Spain, remains the leader, followed by vice-champion the Netherlands, Germany, Brazil, Argentina, and England.

Meanwhile, Lithuania, which achieved a resounding victory over the Czech Republic, has risen over 10 positions to reach 42nd place. It is worth mentioning that our country's highest achievement - 37th place - was recorded in October 2008.
