Amsterdam "Ajax" coach Martin Jol said he was impressed by Real Madrid's game in the first Champions League match when they defeated the guests from the Netherlands 2-0.
"We played against a great team, there was not much we could do," the coach said. "Although their lineup is quite young, many players already have a lot of experience in such high-level competitions."
"We tried to play tougher, to control the ball more often, but it's not easy to do when you're playing against such an opponent. There are many young players in our lineup for whom this will be a valuable experience," he added.
