The strategist Luigi Del Neri was not satisfied with the performance of his players after a surprising draw at home with Poznan's "Lech."
At the beginning of the match, the Poles took the lead 0-2, but in the 68th minute Alessandro Del Piero brought the Italians ahead 3-2. However, Artjomas Rudnevas, who scored three goals, snatched a point for the visitors - 3-3.
"The result makes us look at ourselves," said Del Neri. "We managed to turn the result around, but we couldn't keep it, even though we should have controlled the game. We really tried to score a third goal, so we got tired when we had to maintain the pace.
"There is always a chance of conceding a late goal, especially when it's a spectacular strike. And the problems remain the same: poor concentration and lack of self-confidence. Today I saw not the strength of the opponents, but our mistakes."
