Samuel Eto'o, remembering the years spent at the club, insisted he couldn't understand why coach Pep Guardiola wanted to get rid of him.

Currently playing for Inter Milan, the striker denied that his fiery character caused unrest in the team locker room.

"I played and won numerous titles with Ronaldinho, Lionel Messi, and other great footballers - I contributed to the overall success," said the Cameroonian. "When Ronaldinho arrived at Barcelona, the club didn't win anything. When I arrived, we won everything."

Eto'o also claimed that Messi asked Guardiola not to sell him.

"When Guardiola said I would leave, Messi came and said: sell anyone, just not Samuel."

The African added that he would like to end his career at French club Montpellier.
