Madrid's "Atletico" defender Tomašas Ujfalušis has been punished with a two-match suspension for a serious foul against Lionel Messi.
The 32-year-old Czech player roughly tackled Messi at the end of the match, causing him to immediately fall to the ground and be carried off the field on a stretcher. It was later revealed that the Argentine will be out for two to three weeks due to the injury.
Initially, there were reports suggesting that the defender could face a much harsher penalty. Ujfalušis will miss the matches against "Valencia" and "Zaragoza" due to the suspension.
