The Mexican Football Federation has suspended national team players Carlos Vela and Efrain Juarez for half a year.
Such sanctions were imposed on players representing London's Arsenal and Glasgow's Celtic clubs for organizing a party in a hotel after a friendly match with Colombia.
11 more players were punished for disciplinary violations and will have to pay a fine of 50 thousand pesos each (almost 3 thousand euros).
Among the punished are well-known European players such as Giovani dos Santos, Javier Hernandez, Carlos Salcido, Rafael Marquez, and others.
