Today three matches of the French championship 30th round were played. Here are brief descriptions of the matches:

After being eliminated from the UEFA Cup tournament following a crushing defeat, the team "Auxerre" seems to have recovered and defeated "Toulouse" 3-2.
Although the first goal was scored by the guests, "Auxerre" quickly recovered and three times in a row defeated the goalkeeper of "Toulouse". Two out of three "Auxerre" goals were scored by their attacking leader Djibrilas Cisse. "Toulouse" managed to soften the result only at the end of the match.
After this victory, "Auxerre" with 50 points remained in the 5th place of the league table, while "Toulouse" dropped to the 17th place.

In these matches, two participants of the UEFA Cup quarterfinals - the teams of "Marseille" and "Bordeaux" - faced each other. The match ended in a draw 1-1, but the winners can consider themselves the players of "Bordeaux", as they are four positions lower in the tournament table than "Marseille".
Lately, the not-so-good-playing "Marseille" club was sent on the canvas at the very beginning of the match. "Bordeaux" player Pablo Francia scored a goal in the 7th minute and put his team ahead. However, "Marseille" managed to recover, and after the break, within just 5 minutes, the "Bordeaux" goalkeeper was defeated.
After these draws, "Marseille" remained in the 6th place of the league table, but allowed the club to come a bit closer and complicated their situation in the fight for a place in the European tournaments next season. "Bordeaux," playing better lately and somewhat unexpectedly advancing to the quarterfinals of the UEFA Cup, rose to the 10th place in the league table.

The capital's club "P.S.G." seems unable to keep up with the leaders. Losing by a minimal result of 1-0 to the players of "Lens" in the 9th position, "P.S.G." is behind the leading "Lyon" and "Monaco" by 6 points. "Lens" players, after this victory, rose to the 8th position with 45 points and revived their chances to fight for a place in the UEFA Cup tournament next season.
