Benitez: it's not easy to play so many matches © EuroFootball.com

The Milan club suffered their first defeat in the Italian championship, but coach Rafael Benitez was not inclined to dramatize the situation.

The country's champions were defeated by Roma thanks to a goal scored by Miro Vucinic during added time by the referee.

"At the end of the match, we didn't play intensely and allowed John Arne Riise to cross the ball. But before that, we had 15 shots on the opponent's goal and had chances," said Benitez. "Of course, everything depends on their efficiency."

"It's not easy when you have to play so many matches and so intensively," added Benitez.

On Sunday, Inter could lose the first place in the standings - it is claimed by Brescia and Verona's Chievo.

"Nothing has changed for us," said Benitez. "We just need to analyze why we didn't score and why sometimes we are vulnerable in defense. We have to work on these issues."
