Fired "Sevilla" club coach Alvarez © EuroFootball.com

Club leaders dismissed head coach Antonio Alvarez on Monday, who will be replaced by Gregorio Manzano who left "Mallorca" in the summer.

The patience cup was overflowing over the weekend, when the Spanish team lost 0-2 away to the "Hercules" team.

Although Alvarez, who took over the reins of "Sevilla" in the second half of last season, managed to win the Spanish King's Cup and secure fourth place in the national championship in the last round, the start of this season was difficult.

The club lost to "Braga" in the play-offs and did not qualify for the main Champions League tournament, and in the Europa League they had to admit PSG's superiority.

In Spain, "Sevilla" won only two out of five matches and is in 7th place.
