Louis van Gaal has agreed to extend his contract with the Munich club for another year and will lead them until the summer of 2012.
"The signatures will be put this week," promised the German champions' manager Karl-Heinz Rummenigge.
Last season, the Dutchman took over the reins of Bayern and triumphed in the Bundesliga championships and cup competitions, reaching the final of the Champions League.
However, this autumn has been challenging for the Munich team - in the national championship, they are currently in only 9th place after six rounds.
"But anyone can extend a contract after victories," insisted Rummenigge. "However, it is a good sign that we can show confidence in the coach even after setbacks."
