The Barcelona club announced that they have extended their contract with coach Mauricio Pochettino until 2012.
The 38-year-old strategist has been at the helm of the Barcelona team since 2009. Last season, "Espanyol" finished 11th in the Spanish championship, while this year they are currently in sixth place.
Pochettino himself stated that he was pleased that he was able to reach an agreement with the club management and players so far, resulting in the team showing good results.
