Round 14: Both Lithuanians stood out in Italy © EuroFootball.com

On Sunday, eight matches of the 14th round were played in the Italian "Serie A" league. This round stood out because both Lithuanians scored goals for the first time, but their teams had different fortunes.

Marius Stankevicius' "Brescia" unexpectedly defeated "Reggina" away, with the Lithuanian scoring the first goal of the match in the 18th minute. For the 23-year-old defender, it was his first goal in the 23 matches he played for "Brescia."

Meanwhile, "Livorno" faced "Lecce," and although Tomas Danilevicius equalized for the guests in the 40th minute, the hosts later scored twice and snatched the victory. The Lithuanian national team striker also scored his first goal in "Serie A," although he had already scored in lower division and cup matches.

Turin's "Juventus," the leader of the championship, restored a four-point lead against "Milan," overcoming "Lazio" at home after a fierce battle. After a narrow victory against "Siena," "Udinese" remains in third place while "Cagliari" retained fourth place from last week, easily defeating "Chievo" at home.

"Palermo" also maintained its position, defeating the absolute underdog club "Atalanta" by a goal difference. "Fiorentina" jumped from twelfth to eighth place, winning against "Bologna" with a single goal advantage. The only draw of the round happened in Rome, where "Roma" shared points with "Sampdoria."
