Despite the death of his father, London strategist Carlo Ancelotti will lead the team in the Sunday's English championship match against another capital city team "Arsenal".
The coach's father, Giuseppe, died on Tuesday night at the age of 87. His funeral is planned for Saturday.
"Everyone at Chelsea club expresses deepest condolences to Carlo and his family," - it is written in the statement of the English champions.
Ancelotti went to Italy, and his duties were temporarily taken over by assistant Ray Wilkins.
