The Spaniard is recovering from a calf injury. "Arsenal" coach Arsene Wenger was optimistic some time ago, but now admits that the midfielder will not play in the match.
"We hoped that maybe everything would turn out well, but unfortunately, Cesc will not play in the match," the coach said.
A.Wenger also added that in the match, the goalkeeper Manuel Almunia will not play and will be replaced by the Pole Lukasz Fabianski.
