The club, which experienced record losses at the end of the 2010 financial year on May 31, does not plan to shake up the football player market with very large deals in the future.

Interestingly, the expenses for salaries alone, amounting to 121.3 million pounds sterling, exceeded all the team's revenues.

"We can confidently say that there will no longer be purchases of the same scale as in recent transfer windows, as we have a strong, competitive and large squad," said executive director Garry Cook.
