On Saturday, the players of "Mainz" fought and secured a victory in the 7th round of the German "Bundesliga" championship, writing their name into the tournament's history.

Christiano Heidel's protégés, in front of their own fans, after a tough battle, defeated "Hoffenheim" with a score of 4-2.

So far, only two clubs have started the season with seven consecutive victories - "Kaiserslautern" (2001-2002) and Munich "Bayern" (1995-1996).

Still struggling near the penultimate place in the tournament standings, Gelzenkirchen's "Schalke" team this time lost 2-1 to the "Nurnberg" team as visitors.
