Gelsenkirchen's coach Felix Magath expressed his dissatisfaction with the team's performance after another failure in the German championship.
Schalke lost 1-2 away to Nurnberg, marking their fifth defeat in the championship. The club is currently in seventeenth place in the standings.
"I am very unhappy with the game," the coach said after the match. "After the Champions League match, it seemed like the players had finally regained confidence in their abilities, but in this match it seemed to disappear again."
"The team is going through a difficult time now, but the fans must be patient, believe in us," he added.
