The FIFA Disciplinary Committee has decided to suspend the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) due to the constant interference of the country's government in the affairs of the federation.
During the application of sanctions, the NFF will not be able to participate in any regional, continental, or international tournaments, including friendly matches of the country's clubs and national team.
These sanctions will be enforced until the government stops interfering in the work of the federation and its members can work without any hindrance.
The last official tournament in which the Nigerian national team participated was the World Cup held this summer. There the African team faced Argentina, Greece, and South Korea in the group stage and exited the competition after the group stage.
