The press conference of the Lithuanian national team before the match with Spain in Salamanca lasted only five minutes, and locals were surprised by the fact that not a single journalist from the visiting country was present.
Coach Raimondas Žutautas once again stressed that the team will focus on defense: "Our main priority is to defend, because it's difficult to play against Spaniards in any other way."
When asked if it will be easier because Spain's team won't have their playmaker Xavi, the coach said: "That's not good news. We were prepared to play against a fully equipped opponent, so we had to change our training plan.
Our footballers are ready, everything is going well. Of course, a draw would be a good result - after all, we are playing against the world champions."
Meanwhile, captain Tomas Danilevičius didn't receive any questions and only jokingly added: "We asked FIFA to let us play with 12 players, but they said 'no'."
